To provide students a stable and loving environment where they can seek a better life through faith in Jesus Christ and a higher education, and that UMCH will be with them every step of the way to adulthood. The goal is to cultivate growth in individuals with a focus on academics, spiritual, and social aspects tailored to each student’s needs.
To provide a higher education for college-age eligible youth who plan to attend college/university in Tuscaloosa or Florence. Our Tuscaloosa scholarship home will house and provide a higher education for young men, and our Florence scholarship home will house and provide a higher education for young women. Providing these two homes will allow UMCH to care for young adults for longer periods of their life cycle, ensuring greater continuity and stability in their lives.

Students must have applied to an institution of higher education in Tuscaloosa or Florence and meet the following requirements:
Scholarships are generally due by the first week of April every spring for consideration for the following fall semester. However, we accept applications year-round. If there have an opening in our program, UMCH will consider an application at any time of the year.
This scholarship program will renew annually as long as the following requirements are met:
